On the Wheels Again!
Finally back in a "roller" state.
Aside from paint, it's now just a normal "prep.".
The driver's side door is open a little bit, it fits perfectly when closed.
Now that the structural repairs are
complete, Trevor is moving on to doing the body work in
preparation for paint. We are planning to paint the roof and down to the
body line that is just
above the decals on the rear quarter panel. We've color matched the paint well
enough that
we expect it will blend easily. The alternative is to paint the entire
car - which we could do but
we'd have to replace all the stickers......
The rear wheel camber is back to where it
was prior to our roll-over. We replaced the rear
trailing arms; the left arm was slightly bent during our roll-over.
Left rear trailing arm; you can see that
the tube is bent where it welds to the micro stub housing. It's a
small bend, but it was enough to create an unusual amount of unwanted camber at
ride height. We
decided that it was better to cycle the old arms into our stock of spares at
this point.
